i had made home
it would’ve sounded crazy before. to say id be calling this place home. if you took a look around you’d know i never meant to stumble here. but we all have different places to call home. all of which, aren’t picture perfect. some of us have parents who argue day in and day out, not very pretty. some of us have roommates who can’t seem to mesh with us entirely. some of us may have to call home a place without our pets. some of us have poorly painted rooms with terrible looking flooring to call home. some of us would say our home is always moving. some of us have homes that feel empty with the loss of loved ones. some of us have had cars to call home. some of us call home a place with someone we know is not good for us. home might now be a house with 2 other roommates in a city you hate and still feel alone in. home might be with your favorite person or it might be alone. i know I’ve called many places home, and now i’m here. I’ve made home. its always hard trying to find comfortability in something new. you want to be comfortable in what you know is already... comfortable.
come back down to earth
the world needs you right now. we wait and press on forward shifting left and right, unable to locate the midpoint.
i stare up at the moon and stars wondering what lies between us
what keeps me from you? space? time? distance?
you’re my shooting star. transient and full. a rare occurrence. you shut pst me still wanting to be seen.
do you know where you’re even going? what or where is your destination? do you even know w h a t you are?
you glow and go but never once circle back around. it’s okay not to look back. you can have a one-track mind but don’t get upset that we’re stuck on the same ‘ol song.
i want to reach my hand out to you but you’ve constantly got your arms crossed or your nose turned upwards.
i want you to know there’s always space here for you, a place to call home. i see you. you’re acknowledged and don’t need to stay up there with you head in the clouds.
